Foundation of the Iranian Bloggers’ House

On May 14 2012, the House of Iranian Bloggers declared their formation with the following goals:

1- Creating a proper atmosphere allowing the bloggers to communicate effectively with each other

2- Promoting the culture of Freedom of Speech in the Iranian society

3- Promoting the culture of reading, thinking and blogging amongst the young Iranians

4- Playing an important political role in the transition to the democracy and its stabilization, by defending and promoting the freedom of speech

5- Supporting the jailed bloggers of Iran

These goals are based on the following principals:

1- The Universal Declaration of Human Rights – December 10 1948
2- Freedom of Thoughts and Freedom of Speech
3- Regime Change in Iran for achieving the democracy
4- Secularism, freedom and equality of all religions.
5- Promoting peace and amity on the Internet

An invitation was sent out on May 16 and within less than 48 hours, more than 30 famous and well-known Iranian bloggers joined the club!

I take pride in being amongst the first 10 bloggers who formed this center.
