The motives of the ISLAMIC Regime of Iran for promoting another WAR

Those who have been in politics long enough remember that on October 1st 1980 a war started between Iran and Iraq which lasted for 8 years. The history says that it was Iraq who started the war, but one year later Iraq agreed to stop the war but Ayatollah Khomeini rejected it and continued the war.  This and some other facts prove that the Islamic regime needed to prolong the war because it was necessary for its survival. Here are a few facts explaining the basics of this conspiracy theory:

1-      The war started less than 2 years after the revolution of 1978. At that time the political situation of the Islamists was not very promising because of the confrontations of all other political groups. One of the reasons was that the Islamists didn’t want to share the power. They were chanting “The only party must be Hezb-allah, the only leader must be Rooh-allah (Khomeini)”

2-      Right before the war, the revolutionary regime started executing and killing the heads and the commanders of Iran’s army which weakened the powerful army of Iran. Then the war started and continued for a long time because the army was weakened. Obviously they intended to prolong the war

3-      During the 8-year war, the Islamists gained the full power and total control over the country by:

  • Executing thousands of the opposition forces between 1978 and 1988 (the end of the war).
  • Taking full control over the country’s economy
  • Hundreds of thousands of young soldiers were killed in the war. The records say that more than 3,000,000 people were killed in Iran during the war. This population could be a serious threat against the Islamic reforms and policies in the country.

The conclusion is that the 8-year Iran-Iraq war helped the Islamists to take full control of the political and economic situation in Iran creating an Islamic Dictatorship. Referring to the Ayatollah Khomeini (the leader) and Ayatollah Heshemi Rafsanjani’s public speeches: “The holy war was a holy and sweet gift from God to us!”

Now, 30 years after the first sparks of the 8-year war, Iran is in the exact same situation and therefore the regime is following the exact same pattern for starting another war because they believe that a war is the only thing that can save them. Here I explain 4 motives of the Islamic government for promoting another war:

1-      After the fraudulent presidential election in 2009 caused a huge crack in the regime’s body between the fundamentalist Islamic hard-liners and the reformists.

2-      There are thousands of political and human rights activists in the prisons which have caused huge National and International pressures on them for releasing all these prisoners.

3-      The Green Movement proved that the Islamic government does not have any true supporter among the people anymore.

4-      There are huge financial and legal corruptions in the government that are being revealed one by one. As an example the recent 3 billion dollar embezzlement is one amongst countless other systematic frauds and embezzlements during Ahmadi Nejad’s presidential period.

5-      The economy is on turmoil; there are no jobs, no business and on the other side the inflation rate is abnormally high which has made the people even angrier.

6-      A new crack between Khamenei and Ahmadi Nejad is revealed that again divided the hardliner’s party, creating a lot of administrative problems in the country.

In this situation it is easy to conclude that a new war is potentially the only hope for the corrupted Islamic regime of Iran; as they said before, it will be a holy gift!

In the state of war, the Islamic government of Iran:

1-      Can get rid of all political prisoners by executing them, just like they did during the 8-year war. In 1987 they executed more than 3000 prisoners in one night.

2-      The reformists will be silenced and will be forced to unite with the hardliners for the reasons of the “national security”.

3-      Can get rid of the young and angry population by sending them to war and letting them to be killed eventually.

4-      People’s attention will turn into the war’s situation instead of the financial, legal and administrative corruptions.

5-      For years they will be able to justify the bad economy with the war situation.

It is very important that the International community understands the motives of the Islamic government of Iran for promoting a new war. I believe that Iran intentionally allowed the plot of assassinating ambassador of Saudi Arabia to be discovered for encouraging United States and other countries to start a war.

Otherwise why in this dangerous situation we hear crazy words from the commanders of army, such as:

The head of Basij semi-military forces: “If it is necessary, we even can kill the king Abdullah himself!”

The minister of foreign affairs of Iran: “We are totally ready for war!”

The chief commander of Sepah: “We thank Allah that we are getting closer to become martyrs!”

And more…
